I found some sites buzzing about the CoverGirl Smoothers "BB Cream" not being a bb cream at all. And I can say that these reviews are true. Though, it's not completely CG's fault for me buying this, after all, it does say tinted moisturizer right underneath bb cream. I overlooked that and I wish I didn't.
I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into when I was about to try it out. It came out of the bottle a little gray, but I expected that since Asian bb creams are gray. But once I applied it, I instantly didn't like it.
Cons:
- It did not cover any redness.
- It did not conceal anything.
- It did not smooth anything.
Pros:
-Color matched, I guess
-Didn't disturb my oily skin
-Didn't break me out
-No real smell
-Moisturizing
Too bad I'm someone who needs medium to full coverage or else I wouldn't have care about this product not being as advertised. But I have to return it and get my $8.00 back.
Also, through my research, I quickly found that this product was just relabeled "BB Cream" and given a new design. It's still the same tinted moisturizer they were selling, just under a new name. That is not something I'm happy about. CoverGirl is making me like them less and less.
Overall, this product was not right for me. If you have good skin, or only have slight redness and nothing to cover up, this is perfect for you. But for those of us who need to cover, look elsewhere.
